Helping More Dogs Find Forever Homes
Weatherford Shelter Pets is an independent community project created to help showcase adoptable dogs from the Weatherford Animal Shelter.
The project combines publicly available shelter information with additional content contributed by shelter volunteers to give potential adopters a richer, more engaging way to get to know the dogs at the shelter.
A Community Effort
Weatherford Shelter Pets is made possible through the combined efforts of Creative Web Duo and dedicated shelter volunteers who share a common goal: helping more dogs find forever homes.
Creative Web Duo designed, developed, and maintains the website and its custom content management system (CMS). Shelter volunteers help keep the website current by maintaining dog profiles, adding biographies, personality information, photographs, community events, and other content that supports the project.
Basic information about each dog, such as name, breed, age, size, and shelter status, is sourced from publicly available shelter information and enriched with additional content contributed through the platform.
The project is intended to complement the important work of the Weatherford Animal Shelter by providing an additional way for potential adopters to discover and learn about the dogs in its care.
